PAIN MANAGEMENT [SELF] BODYWORK - 1st edition

  • D-Urban Training 8712 Stäfa Schweiz (Karte)

About body language

One of the languages our bodies communicate with is pain - that’s true. But that’s only one facet of his/her language. Before the pain the messages are often: discomfort, tension, weakness, insecurity, numbness, lack of flow, …

What happens when we learn again to listen, and understand our bodies signals?

Can we prevent pain, localise and release it ourselves and find the right therapist or trainer as suport?

Also there are different kinds of pain. Muscular pain differs from joint or inflammation pain and Organs communicate discomfort often in pain over the muscular system. Being able to feel what actually hurts can help to figure out why it hurts and how it can be released.

WORKSHOP CONTENT:

The 2.5 hours are for you. The tools and exercises we’ll work with depend on the group and individual requests.

  • Facsia release and Triggerpoint self-treatment with tools like tennis balls, blocks, compression bands,

  • Stretching of specific muscles and fascia - static and dynamic

  • Meditation to localize pain and release it

  • Meditation to guide energy in your body

  • Yin (passive) exercises to release tension

  • Taping

  • Posture analysis

While we explore our bodies there will be introductions about pain in joints, muscles, organs or fascia and what (in my experience) is a effective way to release it / or  what therapist can be a great support.

NOTE!

If you have a specific topic you wanne work on please write it into your application. Then I can make sure we have space to work on it.

It is an offering from facilitators who are already years in various physical practices such as yoga, functional training, calisthenics, dance. (Note they are not physical therapist or doctors)

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

NORA ALEX

Some keypoints of my body/moving-journey:

  • 14 years regular yoga practice

  • 2 Yoga Teacher Trainings 200H

  • 6 years Yoga teaching experience for group classes (I only teach privates atm)

  • Acro Yoga experience (not practiced anymore cause my body was not happy with it)

  • Long horseriding experience (with breaks)

After injuring my back with Yoga and Acrobatics in 2018 I couldn’t move at all for a year. As my body communicated to be ready for movememt again I went back to a very simple and therapeutic Yoga practice. It took me over 2 years to recover. This experience sbowed me that only I know what helps my body coming back to it’s center and release the tension and pain.

Therapists have been very important for my recovery. About how I found the right support in each state of healing I’m happy to share with you in person.
